M.A.D(3lb Combat Robot)

M.A.D is a 2-wheel undercutter combat robot that I helped design. During my first year, I took a backseat while I learned the processes and techniques used by more experienced team members. My contributions included the design of some of the armor and frame components.

After the first year, I became the sole designer of M.A.D. After analyzing the strengths and weaknesses shown by the previous versions, I designed the new M.A.D with a much more robust weapon drive system. After rebuilding M.A.D from the ground up, the team brought it to competition in May of 2025, where it defeated one of the most well-known and feared horizontal spinners in the league.

In the next year, I did more to optimize the design for weight. I competed again at Indianapolis' Circle City Clash in 2026, where I encountered some electrical issues due to a faulty speed controller that I had to switch out the day before. Since I didn't take substantial damage, I will be running it again at the beginning of the year.
